Forever You Reign
(V1) To Your fallen man You reached out with Your hand. A condescending love (Doctrine of Condescension Psalm 113:5-7) a promise to save. Creation dies under Your wrathful eyes. But an everlasting hope in the still amazing grace. (C1) We behold on that day the blood that took our sins away. We behold the cursed tree setting us free. We behold the sacrifice when the only Son laid down His life. Behold the Lamb the Great I Am the reason we stand. (V2) It is finished now perfect, and it satisfied. The costly wage of sin, sin of the world in the grave. And there would be the wonderful victory. When the Holy Son of God the true temple starts to breathe. (C2) We behold on that day when the stone was rolled away. We behold the risen Christ He is alive. You will reign forevermore. You brought us life and life much more. Creation would sing this beautiful thing Crown Him the King. (V3) The Spirit of Holiness brings covenant faithfulness. The law of God written on our new hearts of flesh. Almighty come for us. Jesus come for us. Longing for the day we see you face to face. (C3) We will behold from the throne. Christ descending to take us home. Every knee will bow down casting their crowns.
